A grieving therapist begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and his ethics, he finds himself making big changes in people’s lives — including his own. The cast of ‘Shrinking’ share the key moments that defined their characters in Season 1, and reveal who did the best Harrison Ford impression. When asked how they got Harrison Ford to star in the series, Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence said that Goldstein originally wanted a «Harrison Ford type,» and wanted to audition people who resembled Ford. Segel told Goldstein they’d have to at least take it to Ford first, thinking he’d turn it down outright, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was being introduced to the project, sparking interest from other big-name actors. In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and convinced him to take the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but was nonetheless elated. When I saw that Harrison Ford and Jason Segal were starring, I was already ready to watch it, but after reading all the positive reviews and seeing the trailer, my excitement grew even more. Well, I just finished watching it, and it not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. I’m not saying it’s the best show of the year, but it’s an original, feel-good comedy that will have you laughing throughout every episode. I would definitely recommend it, but make sure you give yourself enough time to watch it, because you’ll want to enjoy it as soon as possible.
